Corporate complacency is often rooted in entrenched beliefs. Companies that regularly and dispassionately review their perceptions will benefit from a wider vision, gaining a fresh understanding of their own organisation, its motivation and its trading environment. This all helps in redefining their future.
As a starting point for any strategic review I believe that addressing and validating preceptions at Board level is a prerequisite for change. Acting as a fourth dimension to Company Executives, I take a helicopter view and undertake internal interviews before reviewing and developing strategic options.
Companies that are being integrated as a result of mergers or acquisitions, or indeed where the Board feel that there is a motivational inertia, are those that will particularly benefit from this service.
